Through somatic movement, mindful breathwork, and neuroplasticity-based practices, you will rediscover fluidity, release tension, and create new pathways for feeling fully present and alive.

This class will take you on a journey through breath, healing vibrations and deep restoration. We will open the body through gentle movements and supported postures, use different breath techniques and incorporate the use of sound with mantra and the Tibetan Bowls to move and clear the energy and drop deep into meditative states to experience expanded states of consciousness and healing. Bowls will be placed on the students body to create sonic massage. No experience necessary.

Myo Yin Yoga Workshop

Join Kathy Kessler, PT, LMT, RYT-200 and Expertise Level Myofascial Release Therapist for an evening of Myo + Yin Yoga. The triad of John F. Barnes Myofascial Release - structural releases, unwinding and rebounding will be infused into a Yin Yoga practice. The Yin style of yoga holds postures for an extend period of time at the edge or barrier allowing the fascia - connective tissue time to soft, meld and change. Learn the principles of Myofascial Release while you take a deep dive within listening to the messages from within, creating spacious in your body, releasing tension and bracing patterns, exploring with curiosity and discovering there is more to us than we even know.
Kathy Kessler is a full-time Physical Therapist in Sedona, AZ practicing Myofascial Release at the John F. Barnes Western Myofascial Release Clinic - Therapy on the Rocks. She has been practicing Myofascial Release for nearly 30 years, massage therapy for 24 years and teaching yoga for more than a decade. Kathy is from Augusta, MO and started her MFR career at Mercy Washington and eventually Clayton - Clarkson. She has resided in Sedona the last 6 years, deepening her knowledge and practice of MFR. In this practice she blends her passion for the human mind, body, and spirit; with the knowledge and love of Myofascial Release and the practice of Yin Yoga.
