      <image:caption>Starting on April 11th.... Wildwood Yoga and Joy of Yoga will be conducting a 200HR Registered Yoga Alliance Teacher Training and Immersion for anyone wanting to become a certified yoga teacher or those that would like to immerse themselves into their physical practice and understanding of yoga's history, philosophy and practical application in today's world. What makes this Yoga Teacher Training Distinct?  Joy and Jill created this training curriculum which emphasizes anatomy, alignment, philosophy, meditation, spiritual practices, and the mythical teachings and stories from India.  During this training, students will cultivate a spiritual practice, reflecting our belief that the spiritual dimensions of yoga are as essential to teacher development as the physical. Alongside this, students will develop skills and education around Trauma-informed yoga, ensuring a compassionate and aware approach to teaching. Over the course of 10 months, our group will learn and develop a meditation practice together. Additionally, a guest teacher from India will enrich the experience by sharing mythical stories, kirtan, mantra, and practical Indian philosophy, offering a profound insight into the tradition. Following the training, our mentorship program continues to enhance students’ skills as yoga teachers. Jill Dunlap and Joy Page co-created the hatha based curriculum that will be the basis for this training. Each weekend we will explore a different Hindu Deity. During that weekend we will weave the iconography, mythology, mantras and energy/role of that deity throughout the philosophy teachings, meditations and chanting. As an added bonus to our training, each student receives Unlimited Free Yoga at both Joy of Yoga and Wildwood Yoga for the duration of the teacher training. Teacher Training will take place over 10 weekends &amp; 1 LIVE Zoom meeting/month in 2026. Mark Biehl, CVSC, LSHC lifelong musician and composer, is the founder of Acuity Soundworks®, dedicated to the development and presentation of music and sound to inspire creative thought and action. Mark is a Certified Vibrational Sound Coach and Licensed Spiritual Health Coach. He has received training in Primordial Sound Meditation with Deepak Chopra, traditional shamanic sound practices with Zacciah Blackburn of the Center of Light Institute, and Certification in Sound Healing with Himalayan Singing Bowls from Nepalese Master Teacher Suren Shrestha.       <image:caption>Mary was first drawn to Yoga over 25 years ago when she found that time on her mat away from the hustle and bustle of life, calmed her anxiety, strengthened her body and helped her connect to her higher self.  She has been practicing consistently ever since and in 2015 completed her Yoga Teacher Training, and has been teaching at Wildwood Yoga &amp; Wellness since its inception.  Always a humble student, Mary continues to deepen her knowledge by taking courses and workshops on Anatomy, Astrology, Ayurveda, Fascia and Nutrition.  Reiki, out of all her trainings has proven to be the most profound and essential to her way of life. Mary is sensitive and attuned to the energies of the elements, nature, plants, people, places and things.  Reiki helped her to better understand how this thread of divine energy or universal life force plays a huge role in our health and wellbeing. In her Reiki training with Jill Dunlap, following Dr Usui’s lineage, Mary came to better appreciate this Japanese modality and how it promotes higher awareness, deep healing and recovery on every level.  Since completing all levels of Reiki training (One, Two &amp; Master Levels), she has found that Reiki is not only a way to promote healing for herself and others but also a more mindful and intuitive way of being.  Mary has been thriving on a Plant Based Diet since 2014. She is a Yogi who is passionate about health, nutrition, the environment and the welfare of animals. Recently graduating from well-respected eCornell’s T. Having personally experienced the profound transformation that sound healing can bring, she is passionate about sharing this powerful modality with her community. Sonic massage is a specialized form of sound healing that incorporates instruments like Himalayan singing bowls. These bowls are played both around and on the body, enveloping the client in rich layers of sound.       <image:caption>Kasey has been a dedicated yoga student for over a decade and received her 200hr training in 2020 with a focus in Vinyasa and Yin from Urban Breath Yoga in Maplewood MO. Yoga and meditation have served her as helpful tools with managing anxiety and balancing the nervous system, as well as building strength and flexibility. Kasey loves that there is a style of yoga to meet any need and believes the greatest lesson learned through yoga is how to get comfortable with being uncomfortable, on and off the mat. She hopes students leave her classes feeling more connected to their body and mind. Kasey also has 85 hours of training as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher. Besides yoga, she enjoys being active outdoors, raising her 2 children, and new adventures with her husband.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Ashley began practicing yoga in 2013 after stepping away from the corporate world when her anxiety had reached an all-time high. Living with anxiety rooted in C-PTSD, she turned to yoga as a sustainable way to find peace and healing. After discovering her yoga home at Wildwood Yoga &amp; Wellness, Ashley found the space to quiet her mind, release long-held emotional wounds, and reconnect with herself. In 2021, she completed her 200-hour teacher training through Wildwood Yoga &amp; Wellness and Joy of Yoga. She has since continued her education in trauma-informed, prenatal, and yin yoga &amp; has completed training as a Reiki Master (Jill Dunlap) and Sound healing /sonic massage (Pati Pellerito) &amp; weaves these modalities into her classes to promote deeper restoration and balance. Ashley’s classes are designed to help students give themselves grace, build self-empowerment, and find a sense of spaciousness amidst the demands of daily life. She encourages students to come exactly as they are—leaving comparison and self-judgment behind. Her intention is that students leave class feeling more grounded, confident, and self aware of where balance is needed both on and off the mat. When she’s not teaching, Ashley runs the office for her and her husband’s landscaping company and enjoys time outdoors with her husband, son, golden retriever, and 3 rescue kitties. Her hobbies include traveling, hiking, running, kayaking, sound baths and reading.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Valerie has a passion for healthy living and movement. While she enjoys anything movement based, she fell in love with Yoga.  She found that it was so much more than movement, and she realized that you don’t just practice yoga, you live it!  It has brought her so much awareness &amp; mindfulness, and that changed how she approached everything.  She has seen that effect trickle into every aspect of her life, and now loves sharing that lesson with others who wish to experience the same!  Valerie has been teaching Yoga for over a decade and is excited to be joining our team at Wildwood Yoga.  She enjoys teaching all levels and creating a space for people to come as they are.  Her teaching style gives a lot of modifications, while also giving progressions for those who want them, making her class accessible to anyone who wants to join.   Outside of teaching, Valerie is a full time Life Coach. She also enjoys hobbies such as hiking, paddle boarding, AcroYoga, paragliding, riding her motorcycle, and anything that can keep her moving and having FUN!</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Della began her yoga journey in 2014 when she was looking for a healthy way to practice movement and to gain more strength and flexibility. She started with classes at the local rec center until she found Wildwood Yoga and Wellness Studio in 2017. As her practice grew, she became sure that yoga was more than just simple exercise. Her desire to deepen her practice and understanding of yoga led to becoming a 200 hour RYT yoga instructor under the tutelage of Jill Dunlap and Joy Page. At the same time, Della retired from a 32 year career as a public high school teacher and started her second act as a teacher at Wildwood Yoga &amp; Wellness. Her skills as an educator help to make her classes accessible and enjoyable. She enjoys a gentle flow to deepen the mind-body connection with the goal of bringing the benefits of a healthy and self-loving practice of yoga to all. When she is not on her mat, you can find her hiking or walking on a trail with her husband or daughter.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Cindy discovered and fell in love with the practice of yoga in 2014, soon recognizing the unexpected underlying benefits that are still being exposed, each time she steps onto the mat.  Cindy loves how the practice of yoga pulls people together in union for internal growth.  As well as the practice of yoga, she began the practice of Kung Fu.  Both martial arts and yoga are timeless practices, and are very complimentary spiritual practices to help shine the balance on the outward life and the inward journey, providing strength, flexibility, mental and physical awareness, along with health and inner peace, as one embraces the essence of the gifts revealed in these spiritual practices.  In 2016, Cindy completed her 200 YTT in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, through Yoga Alliance, and began teaching to help share her knowledge and passion with others.  Her passion led her to additional yoga teacher training certification classes, completing over 400 YTT hours.   Her wish as a yoga instructor is that, collectively, we can try our best to help everyone find their way back to home, as we peel back the layers of fear that block out the light to find our true essence, with a persistence and consistent yoga practice.  Cindy believes that it is up to each individual to discover the practice for themselves, as yoga teachers, we are merely guides along the way, and each person is their own inner guru that will, perhaps, one day, uncover the truth for themselves.  Cindy is forever grateful to all of the lovely mentors, yoga/spiritual teaches, Kung Fu Masters, yoga communities, and fellow yogis that have brought inspiration, love, and encouragement, along the path.       <image:caption>Emily took her first yoga class on January 1, 2012. She quickly loved the movement and practice. However, she wasn’t consistent with her practice until June 2023. Emily was experiencing anxiety from past trauma and grief from the sudden loss of her father. Practicing yoga allowed her to mindfully move her body while gently inviting her to give time back to herself. Slowly, with intension, the practice of yoga and inward reflection helped her calm her anxious and grieving heart. At the same time, yoga helped Emily find community, playfulness, and a sense of calm, which she incorporates into each of her classes. Emily completed her 200 hr. Yoga Teacher Training studying under the instruction of Jill Dunlap and Joy Page in 2025.
